Local Print Service News
After 30 years and five locations, our small family business is prepared to enter another decade in printing services. We’ve operated our print shop business in Princeton, NJ since 1984 and have been located from Witherspoon st. to Palmer Square and now centrally located at 150 Nassau St.The technology has changed, but the demand for high quality customer service will always trump the desire of low-cost alternative printing shops. I believe customer service is at the heart of any small business and you can go to a low budget printer, but if you want anything more than a photocopy you risk the quality expected.
As a paper printing company, we've always been in the forefront of green initiatives and started using solar power energy in 2008. From our day one in business we have been recycle conscious. Our main production stocks are made from Eucalyptus plants and we take environmental responsibility very seriously.
As other shops close their doors, our loyal customer base in Princeton, Trenton, Lawrence, Pennington, Hopewell Valley, Plainsboro, Somerset, Hightstown and other areas of Mercer County, Central New Jersey keep us growing strong.
About 35% of the original customers from 1984 are still coming to our shop for their printing needs and this is a testament to the quality work we aim to produce for every customer.
Sincerely,
William & Cecelia Howard

New Jersey Franchise, Triangle Reprocenter, Continues Consolidation with Rocky Hill Print Shop
PRINCETON, NJ –Since 1939, the Triangle Reprocenter franchise has been providing print services to all of New Jersey, but over the past three years have been consolidating locations and now only seven of the original fourteen locations are still operational (Somerville, Cherry Hill, Hamilton, Pennington, Princeton, Lawrenceville and East Windsor, NJ). One small family owned business in Princeton, has accepted the new opportunities with innovation and a smile.
In the digital era, there is no arguing that the printing industry has been in decline, and according to the National Association for Printing Leadership (NAPL), since 2007, printing sales have decreased 19.5% and almost $20 billion fewer in overall sales.
Recently Princeton Printer, formerly Triangle Reprocenter of Princeton has begun servicing customers of former fellow franchisee, Triangle of Rocky Hill, which had operated at 1225 State Road since the 1980’s. The Rocky Hill franchise ceased operations in September 2012 and is now directing their services three miles south on RT. 206 to the Howard family business, Princeton Printer, at 150 Nassau St. and eight miles further south to 1276 Rt. 206.
When faced with adversity, true innovators step-up to the challenge and find the real value of their business. Owners of Princeton Printer on Nassau St., William and Cecelia Howard have operated a successful printing business in downtown Princeton since 1984 and according to Mr. Howard, “I’ve seen the market evolve from the late 70’s with basic hand-copying to the ‘80s where computers increased the need for printers and copy shops. By the late 90's digital copiers dominated the market. We had to adapt our business to include additional services such as graphic design, computer repair, and delivery. We stay applicable by providing high quality prints, finishing services, and fast-turnarounds that customers can’t achieve for themselves on their office copiers.”
“People trust our family to complete their print work correctly and on time, and that’s what separates us from the larger chains” said Co-Owner Cecelia Howard. “The majority of our business comes from other small local businesses and we are proud to remain a constant in the growth of our community,” states Layout Coordinator, Melissa Kelly.
